What is the ISO 20121 certification?

The ISO 20121 certification specifies requirements for an event sustainability management system, and provides guidance on conforming to those requirements. We’ve been supported since April 2023 in our objective to obtain this certification in September 2024. This certification does not evaluate our performance but rather the different actions established to reach our goals.

How does the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Organizing Committe guarantee the deployment of sustainable actions? 

In addition to working to obtain the ISO 20121 certification, we’re also accompanied by a consulting agency that helps us develop our action plan to deploy different measures. We also selected 15 Sustainability contributors in each department of the Organizing Committee, who will help us guarantee the deployment of sustainable practices in their respected field.
