How many skills are represented? Which are they?
During the 47th WorldSkills Competition,62 skills will be in competition and 2 in presentation. You may find the official and full list of skills HERE. The skills in presentation are a WorldSkills are chosen by the Host country to reflect traditional skills, in-demand skills, and the future of skills.

Is there an age limit for Competitors to participate?
For most skill competitions, Competitors must not be older than 23 years in the calendar year of the Competition. A few skills are also open to people under the age of 26, discover them on Competition rules, page 20 HERE.
Where and when will the results be published?
The Competition results for all skills are announced during the Closing Ceremony and published live on the website www.worldskills2024.com.
What are the Competition highlights to focus our communication?
The WorldSkills Competition is full of intense and emotional moments. For the young Competitors, this is the result of several years of intense technical preparation, as well as a physical and mental preparation worthy of the greatest athletes.
The list of daily highlights will be communicated to the accredited media each day.
A few examples: The high energy Closing Ceremony with medals presented to the new World Champions for each skill, the speed modules, and the end of the test projects and the release of intense pressure celebration with family and friends.
Is accreditation mandatory to come to the Competition ?
WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is free and accessible to all. Professional journalists wishing to cover all or part of the Competition must be accredited to access the press areas and services (media areas within the skill areas, Media Centre, interviews with Competitors, and other key stakeholders of the Competition, etc.)
No journalist, even with a press card, will be allowed to access the Media Centre without accreditation from WorldSkills Lyon 2024.

All information on this site has been posted to provide WorldSkills International Members, stakeholders, supporters and partners with direct access to information about the programs and services offered by WorldSkills International.
If a Member, stakeholder, supporters or partner wishes to have any WorldSkills videos play on their own website there are two different options:
WorldSkills International will gladly provide a video link to the desired website
WorldSkills International will gladly provide a embedding code to have the player directly on the desired website
The reasons for this are:
- The materials cannot be modified.
- To continue to capture accurate and crucial statistical information that helps WorldSkills International play for future WorldSkills videos.
- Increase brand awareness of WorldSkills International
- Maintain the brand integrity but ensuring the videos remain in their full and original form.
Offline usage
If a Members, stakeholder, supporter or partner wishes to obtain the actual video, WorldSkills International will provide it for offline usage only. The video will only be supplied in the final edited format with the WorldSkills International overlay and branding surrounding it.

What is the WorldSkills Competition?
WorldSkills is an international movement that aims to promote skills and vocational training for young people through the organization of skills competitions.
Every two years, the WorldSkills Competition brings together young professionals from five continents who are national champions in their respective skill.
It is a major event that welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world. The city of Lyon has been chosen to host the world competition in September2024 :1,500 Competitors coming from 65 countries and regions will compete in 64 skills to demonstrate their excellence and know-how.
WorldSkills is much more than a competition. It aims to reduce the prejudices surrounding vocational training, to respond to the challenges of sectors under economic pressure, and to encourage young people to choose professions with a bright and promising future, which, as well as being in high demand, are also careers offering endless opportunities, professional success, and personal fulfilment.
