Ceremonies
The Opening Ceremony of WorldSkills Lyon 2024 took place on 10 September 2024 at the LDLC Arena (OL Arena).
The Closing Ceremony took place on 15 September 2024 at the popular OL Stadium (Groupama Stadium), the 3rd largest stadium in France in terms of capacity.

Conference
The WorldSkills Conference is an annual two-day event that gives different voices the opportunity to connect and discuss global issues such as skills development, skills demand, Vocational Education and Training (VET), and excellence.

Meet the Champions, Agora space
The Agora was a place to discuss the values of the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Competition and to highlight stories of former Champions.
In this space, visitors had the opportunity to attend discussion sessions with inspiring people: WorldSkills France Ambassadors, former Champions, members of the WorldSkills Champions Trust…
They were also able to take part in presentations on the importance of sport, the skills needed in the professional world and the similarities between skills competitions and top-level sports competitions.
Streaming
The Ceremonies and the Competition were broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook.

Village des métiers (Skills Village)
As part of the hosting of the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 World Competition, the Metropole of Lyon, the City of Lyon and WorldSkills France opened a Village des Métiers from 11 to 14 September 2024 at Place Bellecour, alongside the Competition, which took place at Eurexpo Lyon.

Journées portes ouvertes
From 13 to 14 September 2024, companies in the Metropole of Lyon opened their doors to the general public, giving visitors the opportunity to discover or rediscover careers, talk to professionals and visit unusual locations. The Open Days were free and open to all!
