What is a Volunteer?
Volunteers give their time to a worthwhile cause, without financial (or other) compensation. They are always free to end their participation, without any procedure or compensation. However, they must respect the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Volunteers Charter.
How can I become a WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Volunteer?
To register as a Volunteer and access the application form, please visit our dedicated page Volunteers Programme – WorldSkills Lyon 2024 (worldskills2024.com)
Is there a minimum age to become a Volunteer?
WorldSkills Lyon 2024 is giving younger people the opportunity to participate, and is opening up its Volunteers Programme to minors aged 12 and over as of 1 January 1 2024. Intergenerational cooperation is a great opportunity, therefore there is no age limit.
What are the requirements for other Volunteers?
For residents of France and the Schengen area: possession of a valid identity card or residence permit.
For residents outside the Schengen area: possession of a valid passport.
What are the requirements for minors?
Minors under the age of 16 must be registered by a legal representative, who will accompany them during the post-application interview, as well as during their Volunteer assignments.
Minors over the age of 16 may register alone. During the Competition, the minor will be accompanied by an adult designated by the organizer.
In both cases, missions will be adapted in terms of duties and schedules.
