Covering a WorldSkills event is a big responsibility. Unlike major international sporting events to which the Competition may be compared, Competitors are only allowed to participate in one World Competition and most of the young people in this edition have trained for years to achieve this level of excellence in their profession. There are few comparable events in the world in terms of scope or scale. We thank you for covering this Competition and making it known to the world.

The WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Competition is free and accessible to all. However, journalists present in a professional capacity, wishing to cover all or part of the Competition, must be accredited to access the press areas and services.

No journalist, even with a press card, will be authorized to access the Media Center without accreditation.

As France prepares to host two international events in 2024, the French Government’s internal security services have set up a screening system for security reasons.

This means that any person (including the media) wishing to obtain accreditation for the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Competition must provide a certain amount of personal information in order to be able to access the Competition.

This information can be entered in the “Identifications Details” tab of your personal space on the WorldSkills.org platform (this is the same space that you created for your accreditation request).
