WorldSkills flag handed over to France for the next WorldSkills Competition

On November 27, 2022, the WorldSkills flag was presented to WorldSkills Lyon 2024 during the Closing Ceremony of the final event of the 46th WorldSkills Competition in Salzburg, Austria.

A symbolic handover of the flag which marks the launch of the 47th WorldSkills Competition and puts the next generation of young professionals at the heart of the project.

The Closing Ceremony was an important moment for France and the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Organizing Committee. The WorldSkills flag was handed over by a representative of the Champion Trust to a French Champion to highlight the importance of youth and skills. It’s also through an original video combining professional gestures, artistic interlude with the Compagnie Lyonnaise Second Souffle, and the emblematic places of Lyon that the fundamental values of the WorldSkills Lyon 2024 Organizing Committee: Excellence, Generosity, Openness, and Unity was shared.

WorldSkills Lyon 2024 will truly be THE springboard and catalyst for developing and promoting professional training adapted to the needs of 21st century companies, as Max Roche, President of WorldSkills Lyon 2024 points out:
