La mécatronique regroupe la mécanique, la pneumatique, les systèmes à commande électronique, la programmation, la robotique et le développement de systèmes.
Le mécatronicien s’appuie sur l’ensemble de ces éléments pour concevoir, construire, entretenir et réparer des équipements automatisés et programmer des systèmes de contrôle des équipements.
Outre les lignes d’assemblage des usines, la mécatronique est utilisée dans tous les domaines, des machines d’embouteillage aux caisses de supermarchés, en passant par les tapis roulants.
