Les projets des jardiniers paysagistes sont variés. Ils peuvent aussi bien travailler dans un parc urbain que dans un jardin de campagne, mais toujours dans le but de créer un havre de paix.
Les jardiniers paysagistes sont donc impliqués dans le projet depuis la phase initiale de conception jusqu’à l’aménagement paysager, la construction et la plantation. Ils mettent à profit leur connaissance du sol, des conditions météorologiques et de la manière dont les plantes et les arbres poussent.
Ils doivent faire preuve de créativité et être capables de visualiser les projets finis. Ils doivent également pouvoir reconnaître l’impact que peut avoir un projet sur l’environnement naturel existant et sur la faune et la flore.
