The 47th WorldSkills Competition took place at Eurexpo Lyon, the leading French exhibition site outside of Paris. Ideally located, Eurexpo Lyon also ranks among the 15 best exhibition spaces in Europe. Every year, it hosts major international and national events and trade fairs.
Opening hours of the site:
Wednesday 11 September: 10 am – 5 pm
Thursday – Friday – Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm
As part of respecting our sustainable development policy, WorldSkills Lyon 2024 invites you to use public transport when traveling to the Competition and Ceremony sites.
Eurexpo is well served by public transport, with bus and tram lines connecting the city centre, the airport and Lyon’s three train stations.

Several routes are possible:
1st route :
Take the C13 bus, to Grange-Blanche, stop at Grange-Blanche.
Then take Tram T5 (Grange-Blanche -> Eurexpo)
2nd route:
Take tram T3, to Meyzieu Z.I., stop at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie.
1st route:
Take metro D, towards Gare de Vénissieux, stop at Grange-Blanche
Then take Tram T5 towards Eurexpo
2nd route:
Take metro A towards Vaulx-en-Velin la Soie until the terminus (La Soie)
Take Tram T2, towards Saint-Priest Bel Air, then stop at Grange-Blanche. Then take Tram T5 towards Eurexpo to the terminus
Take the Rhônexpress, towards Lyon Part-Dieu and stop at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie. Then take the N100 bus to Eurexpo.
You can rent a bike for a few hours or a day, thanks to the city’s bike renting company: Vélo’V. You can also rent electric scooters.
A cycle path joins the Competition site from Part Dieu, and bicycle parking is available near the main entrance. Two-wheel parking is also available near hall 7.
The site is accessible by car from Lyon city center or from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport. The Eurexpo Lyon car park has three entrances and a capacity of 13,000 spaces.
Lyon has three train stations: Lyon Part-Dieu, Lyon Perrache and Lyon Saint-Exupéry (next to the airport). Eurexpo Lyon is easily accessible by public transport from these three stations.
For those coming with their own bus, we offer a clear and rapid transport plan.
You can enter Eurexpo via the SOUTH gate and proceed to parking lot P6 bis.
There you’ll find a drop-off zone for your passengers.
Once you’ve dropped off your passengers, we can’t guarantee you a place to park. We therefore invite you to park outside Eurexpo, leaving the site through the same door you entered, the SOUTH door.

Eurexpo is located approximately 20 minutes from Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport, which directly serves nearly 120 destinations around the world. Transfers are easily made using a regular transport service. The Lyon Saint-Exupéry hub also houses a train station, as well as the Rhônexpress, a train that connects the airport to downtown Lyon in less than 30 minutes, with departures every 15 minutes from 4:25 a.m. to midnight.
To eat, several options are available to you. Our partner Nomad Kitchens, a company specialized in innovative foodservice concepts, occupies two dining locations (Ext hall 3-4 and Ext hall 4-5), in which you will have the opportunity to discover and taste local street food!

The Opening Ceremony took place on 10 September, 2024 at the LDLC Arena and the Closing Ceremony at the OL Stadium on 15 September. These celebrations were unique opportunities to start and end the Competition in style.
