Much more than just a competition, WorldSkills Lyon 2024 aims to have a long-term impact by supporting projects and initiatives that are close to the Organizing Committee’s heart, in order to leave a lasting and tangible legacy.
| FRANCOPHONIE To support the dynamic development of the Francophonie economy, by working on international skills benchmarks in French for the 59 skills, and by strengthening cooperation between the Francophonie industrial and economic stakeholders. | INTERNATIONAL To develop cultural exchanges and share professional practices by organizing a meeting between each national team taking part in the Competition in 2024 and a school in the Lyon region (One School One Country). To showcase European skills on the world stage by promoting them. |
| INTERCONTINENTAL To support the development of skills on the African continent, by working closely with various countries to integrate the dynamics of a skills Competition into their training programmes. | EUROPE To be part of the European drive to develop vocational training by making WorldSkills Lyon 2024 as much a European event as a French one. |
